Most high school students have nothing online that actually shows who they are.

What exists was built for friends and followers — a roster, a mention, a social profile. Not something meant to be evaluated.

Spotlight is a guided interview that creates a clear, credible introduction — so when someone looks them up, they understand who your child is.

From a Recent Spotlight

"I honestly never expected to have an interview that would formally introduce me and let me talk about myself in a way I could actually share with colleges and internships."

-Cesar Buendia

Our Services

Spotlight gives students the advantage of being clearly understood. We provide:

A Structured Conversation

A structured conversation designed to help your child say who they are — naturally, without a script. The goal is authenticity, not performance.

A Professional Video Profile

We shape the conversation into a set of short, professionally edited video clips that present your child clearly and intentionally.

Polished, Shareable Results

Hosted online and associated with your child's name — ready to be found the moment someone searches. Your family receives a direct link to share whenever it's useful.

Meet the Founder

For over 10 years, Jamil Higley has worked with young adults at pivotal moments—helping them clarify who they are, what they value, and how they show up when it matters.

She has coached high school, college, and graduate students in leadership and emotional intelligence, guiding them through high-stakes interviews, transitions, and public moments. Her work centers on one skill: helping students articulate who they are clearly and confidently.

Spotlight was built from that experience.

Parents often invest heavily in academics, activities, and preparation. Many students are never formally guided through how to speak about themselves in a way that feels natural and credible.

Spotlight is that space.

A structured, thoughtful conversation designed to help students be clearly understood—now and in the years ahead.
